How to perform prayer in Islam

Even though this tutorial has been designed keeping a beginner in mind, still it is necessary that absolute beginners should first practice it with their Muslim friends, and this tutorial should be used only as a reference.

Note that there will be slight variations in the details of prayer as followed by different schools of thoughts (Madhabs), which is not however of significant consideration.

As a demonstration we will see how to pray the first obligatory prayer in a day, called Fajr prayer. It is the shortest prayer too as it has only two units ("unit" is described below) .
