Umrah

Upon reaching Makkah, and arranging your residence, go to Masjid al- Haram, in which is situated the ancient House (Ka-aba).

It is from the Sunnah for a man to bare his right shoulder and arm by passing the upper ihram wrapper under the right armpit and covering the left shoulder with both ends ( this practice is called Iztaba).

Tawaf al-Qudum (circumambulation of Kabah)

Then start the seven Tawafs (circumambulations) around Kabah starting at the black stone and ending there. It is a Sunnah to kiss the black stone if accessible, or just point towards it saying "Allahu Akbar" and kiss it during each circuit.

Circle the Kabah remembering and mentioning Allah, asking His forgiveness, supplicating to Him and reciting Quran, without raising one's voice. It is necessary to be under the state of Wudhu during Tawaf. (One may pause during the tawaf circuits for short periods, for prayer etc, if necessary and then complete the tawaf by continuing from that point onwards.)

Note: As I mentioned in the description of Kaaba Hatim (or Hijr) is a semi-circular half-built portion which was originally a part of the Ka'bah but which could not be included in the main structure when the Ka'bah was rebuilt. So one should include Hatim too in tawaf obligatorily.

Now Iztaba is finished, therefore cover your both shoulders with upper portion of the Ihram sheet.

Upon completion of Tawaf one should pray two rakahs behind Maqam Ibrahim if accessible, or in any part of Masjid al-Haram.

Recite Qul ya ayyuhal kafiroon in the first rakah and Qulhu wallah in the second rakah.

Drink from ZamZam - Zamzam well is situated in the basement of the Haram about 200 feet from the Kaabah's door, from which you can drink this water.
